Non-globular proteins in the era of Machine Learning

COST Action CA21160

ML4NGP CONNECT

ML4NGP CONNECT is a collaborative platform that reflects our shared commitment to fostering collaboration, advancing research, and supporting knowledge exchange and networking within the field of machine learning and non-globular proteins. Through co-organization of webinars, virtual training, and hands-on sessions, it aims to support the capacity building of young researchers, and strengthens our scientific community.

WEBINARS

We are pleased to announce the first webinar of the ML4NGP Connect series. This event featured two inspiring talks from world-leading researchers in the field of Intrinsically Disordered Proteins: Prof Michele Vendruscolo and Dr Zsuzsanna Dosztányi. Both speakers are members of the ML4NGP COST Action.

The webinar resulted from a collaboration with ELIXIR 3D-BioInfo Community, ELIXIR IDP Community and 3D-SIG ISCB International Society for Computational Biology, reflecting our shared commitment to advancing research at the intersection of machine learning, structural bioinformatics, and protein science.

The second webinar of the ML4NGP Connect series featured Prof Dr Joana Pereira, a senior researcher from VIB.AI and KU Leuven (Belgium) who combines deep learning, network analysis and bioinformatics to investigate protein diversity and evolution.

The webinar was part of the Bioinformatics Seminar initiative, organized by the Bioinformatics Group from the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, and hosted by Jovana Kovačević and Nataša Pržulj.
